Prices
Wedding cakes
Hopefully our wedding cake pages have given you an idea of the kind of prices we charge for the fully finished designs shown. Wedding cakes can be fruit or sponge cakes but all require marzipan under the icing. We've shown prices for either all fruit cake tiers or all sponge cake tiers - if you'd like a combination the price will be somewhere between the two.
The table below gives an indication of portions per cake and the basic cost of the wedding cakes. Design features such as flowers will incur an additional cost on top of this. As a guide, the prices include a piped design on sugar paste icing, either with pillars or stacked plus ribbons on the cake boards. Please ask if you require royal icing and we can provide you with a quote.
The prices below reflect the cost of constructing the wedding cake as well as baking and making it - this included things like dowelling the cake to ensure the upper tiers are supported correctly and ensuring that the tiers are all level once they are assembled. Our wedding cake tiers also tend to be deeper than our celebration cakes to ensure the proportions of the final cake are good. We've explained this so that you understand the difference between the cost of the individual cakes and the cost of the wedding cake combinations.

Celebration cakes
These prices are a guide for sponge cakes - either madeira cake or chocolate fudge cake. The madeira cake can be flavoured either with vanilla or lemon.
Included in the price are ribbon, simple piped design and wording on the cake. Any additional elements, for example the sugar cats or the icing teddy bears, are quoted for on an individual basis according to the complexity of what you require. Sugar flowers are available at an additional cost - please see below.

The number of portions is based on a slice of cake 1 inch x 2 inches. This is the kind of size you'd normally be served at a wedding. Please bear in mind that if you have a round cake you will get slightly fewer pieces as it is missing the corners!

Prices vary depending on the cake you want - please contact us to discuss options and for a quote. We'll have a go at pretty much anything!
Cupcakes
Prices start from £1.75 per cupcake. Please contact us for a specific quotation.
Sugar flowers, models and cake jewellery
Prices depend on the flowers, design and density of crystals you require. Please contact us for a quotation.
Deposits and payment
A deposit is required for large orders, such as wedding cakes, and is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. The amount required varies according to the overall value of your order. The final balance is payable two weeks before the wedding date. Failure to make payment in full by the due date may mean we are unable to complete your order.
For all other orders we require payment in full up-front before work can commence on the cake and generally this is done via a Paypal invoice. Paypal is a secure payment method which allows you to pay us by card without us seeing your payment details. It's also how we take payments on our online shop. Payments are due a week before the order is due - failure to pay by this time will result in your slot being reallocated to another customer and us being unable to take on your order.
Unfortunately we have to take all our payments in advance as our work is bespoke and entirely made to order.
Delivery
Delivery is available, although a small charge may apply. Delivery is free within the first 10 miles, after this distance a fee of £1 per mile is payable. We regularly deliver within Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire, and also into West Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Please contact us for details and we'll let you know if a charge will apply.
Collection is welcomed from any area! If you are collecting your order please note that you are responsible for its safe transportation. We will make every effort to ensure that your order is fit for the journey but we accept no responsibility for damage that occurs whilst in your care or as a result of failure to follow our advice regarding your order.
